Fine Arts features the paintings
of artist Lewis Silvers of the bay area. His brilliantly colorful
paintings were a joy to work with. The process of getting the prints
online was accomplished by scanning the photographs into Photoshop
where cropping and color correction were used to bring out the true
colors.
The color scheme was arrived at after examining all the paintings and finding a color that would compliment all of them without being overwhelming. The deep blue I thought created an inviting feeling that encouraged the visitor to "step inside". The purple accents reflected the creative nature of the subject since purple is often used to symbolize creativity and passion. The viewing gallery was laid out using frames to minimize the reload time of each page. As well, this allowed the visitor to scroll through other pictures without moving the whole page. |
